The Y-axis shows the number of buildings (as rows) and X-axis shows environmental impact values. From viewing the histograms you can see how many buildings fall within the range of values.

Energy units are displayed in thousand British Thermal Units (kBTU), normalizing all fuel types into a common energy unit.
